The North Davidson, N.C. native made the 1977 Shrine Bowl team and played at Clemson
from 1978-81, becoming a first-team All-American as a senior. He made 150 catches for more than 2.500 yards for the
Tigers. Three of his TD-catches went for 80 yards or more, and he caught at least one pass in 32 straight games.
In the 1981 Orange Bowl vs. Nebraska, Tuttle's five receptions for 56 yards and 13-yard TD catch helped Clemson win the national
title and put him on the cover of Sports Illustrated. The NFL Buffalo Bills picked Tuttle in the first round, No.19
overall, in the 1982 draft. He played two seasons with the Bills and split a third year with Tampa Bay and Atlanta before
moving to the Canadian Football League in 1985 where he helped Winnipeg win the CFL Grey Cup. He is a member of the
Winnipeg Blue Bombers Hall of Fame. He ranks No. 14 on Clemson's list of all-time top 25 players and is on the Clemson
Centennial team.
